Your Child’s First Dental Appointment
At Molar Bear Pediatric Dentistry we understand that some children are nervous about the dentist, however we’ve found the earlier you start, the better! We recommend that children see a dentist when their first tooth erupts or by the latest, their first birthday. Our main goal is to help get your child excited about their oral health and dental care while providing exceptional dental treatments. During their first dental appointment at Molar Bear Pediatric Dentistry we will show them around our practice and answer any questions they may have. A typical first appointment will consist of:
- Thorough examination of teeth, gums, jaw and overall oral health.
- Gentle, thorough dental cleaning removing any debris, plaque or stains along with polishing of their teeth.
- Digital images of teeth, gums and jaw.
- Discuss proper dental hygiene and dental care.
Following their dental examination and teeth cleaning, we will discuss their oral health and any recommended treatment options. Any questions you may have will be answered so you can make the most informed decision possible.
